Pinterest Starts Its New Do It Yourself Promoted Pins To All Small To Medium Enterprises

Through the second half of 2014 and then 2015 into 2016 many businesses have taken advantage of the Pinterest's Ad manager Tool, which has allowed them to better manage and review the effectiveness of their promoted pin activity.

Assuming these promoted pins are of a high enough quality and provide value to the user, it is likely that the target audience will pin these pins to their own boards where their networks will see it and often keep pushing it out to bigger and bigger networks of interested viewers.

And with each re-pin and sharing motion, this positions the image to be be seen, discussed and ultimately acted upon.

Following on from this tale of success, Pinterst has now opened the Pinterest Ads Manager to all SME's in the US as a first step to making it available globally.

Why is it important
The Pinterest Ads Manager has been designed specifically with ease of use in mind and is perfectly suited for SME use.  Simple, intuitive and quick to do. It also integrates a bulk editor function which allows a business to concurrently manage multiple campaigns at the same time, whilst being able to accurately track what is happening in each campaign..

As well Pinterest have restated their desire to refine the targeting process with new tools that will be developed over time to provide smarter ways to more precisely reach the ideal audience member for your product or service.

Ads Manager: Interest Targeting

These include:
  • Interest targeting: Where similar to Facebook, Pinterst know what people like and follow and are interested in knowing more about with a current list of over 400 interests available.
  • Keyword targeting: Pinterest allows keyword search is different allows people to search for what they are looking for.
  • Customer database targeting: Where a business can access its existing customers on Pinterest as they search for new and exciting things in their area of interest. Securely create an audience to target from your customer list. This feature will be rolled in later in 2016 in Ads Manager.
Finally there is also an ongoing effort to enhance the all important conversion tracking that will allow for better review data on the outcome of campaign strategy and implementation. What didn't work, what did work and to what extent.
